#557 (6/21) A Mother's Love Saves Child From Abortion; Limbaugh:Abortion Root of Society's Ills

URGENT PRAYERS/PETITIONS:
Same -Sex "Marriage"- PLEASE PRAY WITH ME (every day untill the decision is revealed sometime THIS month.) THAT THE SUPREME COURT WILL VOTE TO UPHOLD THE 2 LAWS REVIEWED SUPPORTING A TRADITIONAL DEFINITION OF MARRIAGE.. PRAY that the Court will resist any pressure to MAKE new law based on "cultural trends." PRAY as though the very future of the institution of the family is at stake because it is. PRAY for the sake of possibly millions of children, and for our country if it is to continue to be shown any more favor by our Heavenly Father, who I promise you will be very displeased if homosexual marriage is legalized; "GOD IS NOT [TO BE] MOCKED..." - (Gal. 6:7)  - Stan [Be sure to check out my brief essay at post #478.]

Officials say Benham Irani has been in jail longer than Pastor Saeed and is also in need of urgent prayer. Irani was convicted for committing crimes against Iran's national security after holding house church services and leading many Iranian Muslims to Christ. He was arrested and tried twice: first in December 2006 and again April 2010. Now Truth Ministries reports that "in the past year he has been beaten by prisoners under the watchful eye of prison authorities. As a result he is beginning to lose his eyesight, has what seems to be untreated Inflammatory Bowel Disease, is barely able to speak and has trouble walking." He's also suffering from internal bleeding and a painful skin condition. PRAY for Pastor Irani to be healed AND to be released very soon  To find out how you can help Pastor Abedini, please sign the petition at : https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/take-steps-our-allies-and-un-put-pressure-iranian-government-release-pastor-behnam-irani/7px5JR82

"'This Baby is Not Going to Survive,' Mom Rejects Pressure for Abortion," by Steven Ertelt | Wellington, New Zealand | LifeNews.com | 6/20/13 http://www.lifenews.com/2013/06/20/this-baby-is-not-going-to-survive-mom-rejects-pressure-for-abortion/

A mother in New Zealand has rejected calls from her doctor and medical professionals to have an abortion of her disabled baby.At 16 weeks of pregnancy, the young woman was told by doctors that her unborn baby would only live for a short time after she was born. The New Zealand Herald has more details:
Three medical experts urged her mum, Toni Alexander, to terminate the pregnancy. Instead, the family researched and drew hope from similar cases. At 32 weeks, baby Ava was born with a relatively common horseshoe kidney. Now the family want answers.
Tauranga mum Toni was told at her 16-week scan that one side of her baby’s brain was growing faster than the other. A further scan showed there was no amniotic fluid around the baby. Toni, 19, was diagnosed with PPROM – preterm premature rupture of membranes.
PPROM affects two in every 100 pregnancies. It causes the loss of amniotic fluid rich in the protein, carbohydrates, lipids and urea a growing fetus needs to survive.
“We were told if the baby did survive it would live for a short time after birth before passing away,” Toni, now 21, said.  “They said there was no hope – they said ‘this baby is going to die’.” The family were told scans showed no Nasal or facial bones, missing organs and undeveloped lungs. The scans missed the horse-shoe kidney. Specialists at Waikato Hospital sent Toni away with information on the recommended termination. But Toni ignored the advice.
Michelle Kauffman of Family Life International New Zealand applauded her courage.
At a time when prenatal screening is routine, this story (and the countless more that are similar), should serve as a warning for medical professionals, for parents and for families.  All too often, a prenatal diagnosis of an impairment, disability or life-limiting condition ends in abortion. Often this is because of pressure from the medical experts, from a lack of information about the conditions and a fear of the unknown.
But Baby Ava’s story shows that sometimes doctors get it wrong. And even if they don’t get it wrong, why is the answer abortion? Motherhood begins at the moment new life is conceived.  Mothers love, they protect, they nurture their children.  Toni, has shown mothers everywhere, who face the unknown, how to do this courageously.

"Limbaugh: Abortion at Root of Much of America's Ills,"17 Jun 2013,  By Greg Richter  http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/rush-limbaugh-abortion-impact/2013/06/17/id/510393?s=al&promo_code=13DC2-1

Much of the cultural and economic decay facing America can be traced to the more than 50 million abortions performed since the 1972 Roe v. Wade decision, Rush Limbaugh says. And the current push for legal status for illegal immigrants is a result of needing to replace the aborted, Limbaugh said.

"Fifty-two million taxpayers haven't been born, is the way Washington looks at it," Limbaugh said on his radio show on Friday. "They don't look at it morally. They don't look at it in any kind of cultural way or any kind of cultural impact. They just say … we have 52 million fewer people paying taxes. We gotta replace 'em. Hello, amnesty."

But beyond that, abortion has had a role in destroying society, Limbaugh said. Most people see abortion simply as a woman's right to choose, he said, but the impact has been much wider. "It's had an impact on crime. It's had a profound impact on our politics. It is at the root of our cultural rot and decay."

Limbaugh said no one wants to accept responsibility for his or her actions anymore. "And I'm not talking about the women," he said. "I'm talking the overall effect of a society having literally no problem with eliminating 52 million of its citizens. That can't be good." Limbaugh noted that Americans still feel guilt over slavery, yet aren't bothered by abortion.

"I think it is the cause of so much that seems to be inexplicable to people," he said. "Why are 10-year-olds shooting each other to death in Chicago? Why is our society so permissive, anything goes, the more ribald, the better? The more honorable, the more boring it is said to be."
