PRAY FOR AMERICATHANK GOD for His many blessings on America throughout it's history. May we then ask that AMERICA once again be a blessing TO GOD, by once again submitting to HIS will in our affairs - both personal and national - that He may truly "heal our land." (2 Chron. 7:14)

WORLD-WDE PRAYER REQUESTS:

Pastor Saeed Abedini (Photo: CitizenGo via Twitter)
Friday, Sept. 26th - Two Year Anniversary of  Pastor Saeed Abedini's Imprisonment in Iran!
We need to continue to pray for Pastor Saeed - that his health will improve and that he will be re-united with his wife and two young children who live in the United States. We also remain hopeful that in addition to getting the medical care he so desperately needs, that Iranian officials display the kind of humanitarian treatment that often accompanies the start of the Iranian New Year which began on March 21st. This is the time of year when the Iranian government frequently offers clemency to prisoners of conscience. [If you have not yet, please sign the petition for his clemency- http://beheardproject.com/saeed#sign]
PRAY ALSO : - For comfort and peace for Saeed’s wife and children here in the U.S.\
- For a strong witness and testimony from Pastor Abedini in the prison where God has placed him
- For Christians around the world who are being persecuted for their faith in Christ
- For leadership from the White House and State Department in defending the freedoms of Abedini and other Americans
- GO TO SaveSaeed.org to sign a petition over 600,000 others asking for his immediate release

There is no sugarcoating it. With each passing year, on most cultural fronts, things have been getting worse. There is a coarseness to our society and a rending of real ties that bind us to one another. Only about half of Americans are currently married, and about half of the children in the U.S. will spend time outside a household with a married mom and dad. Whatever the circumstances, that has an impact on people and culture, and it shows up in indicators from fertility rates to teen drug use. Our brotherly social safety net is fraying, and we now look to government instead, compounding our problems. After all, bureaucracy doesn’t do love as well as civil society does.

The brave new world of family life today, with seemingly endless prospects for future chaos, makes one nostalgic for the days when we were at least agreed on some of the fundamentals for a good, healthy home environment for children and women and men. Our lack of a common vocabulary and understanding of human nature has made public opinion—and now even our lawmaking and courts—susceptible to wild claims about truth and tolerance in spite of social science evidence about marriage and family to the contrary. Devoid of reason, history, and tradition, these claims simply wouldn’t have made any sense a few decades ago.

As recently as a decade or so ago, a sensitive cultural observer might have referred to “broken homes” without the prospect of a politically correct shutdown. That shutdown of serious dialogue about the direction of our society is a hallmark of what has been dubbed an “Insatiable New Intolerance.” As a powerful, thinly veiled intolerance has established its power—throughout the culture: in education, the entertainment industry, medicine, and politics—the outlook can seem grim for anyone holding traditional views of marriage, family, and life.

Even knowing this all, however, there is some good news. Despite the fact that the United States has among the most permissive abortion laws in the world, abortion is on the decline. Public opinion is also headed in an encouraging direction. Polling commissioned in early 2014, consistent with other polling, found that nearly half of Americans consider themselves “pro-life,” with three in 10 Americans considering themselves “strongly pro-life.” Importantly, polling found that “84 percent of Americans believe abortion should be restricted … or never allowed at all.” Even those who wouldn’t necessarily label themselves “strongly pro-life” or “strongly pro-choice” support placing limits on abortion and providing women accurate information. The abortion lobby’s insistence on pretending that even late-term abortions are a mere matter of women’s freedom is not accepted by most Americans.

Familiar, widespread, euphemistic rhetoric about abortion actually reflects an encouraging reality about our culture. Throughout the decades, campaigns for abortion rights have had to take the turn of referring increasingly to “choice” and “health” and anything “women.” That rhetoric has been necessary to sell Americans on legal abortion, since abortion is a source of revulsion and regret for most and a necessary, in the view of some, evil at best. America is [still] a generous country built on the inviolable dignity of the human person.

Practical efforts to restore a culture of life are an encouraging development that bodes well for the prospects for tackling other cultural indicators heading in the wrong direction. Creative initiatives provide pregnancy support and maternity care for those in need. They teach basic skills and nurture community life and fellowship for mothers and fathers and their children.

In addition to the ministries and projects devoted to helping women in crisis pregnancies, efforts in the past decade have increased outreach to the women who bear the pain of abortion regret. Project Rachel, for example, is a well-known model. Observing that “Abortion Changes You,” these efforts have sought to serve the woman and those with whom she is most intimately connected. The culture of generosity that has been the ecumenically pervasive lifeblood of American history is making a palpable difference.

That spirit of community and service has driven efforts to lift up human dignity in the darkest of places: our nation’s prisons. The work of the Prison Fellowship and some of the state-level re-entry programs focusing on skills and fellowship, opportunity and accountability, is also some of the best of our culture. The news that violent crime is down at the same time is legitimately encouraging. Of course, anyone who lived through the ’80s and ’90s in an inner city as I did in Manhattan doesn’t need to see the numbers to notice the sea change.

All of this civil-society work provides models for the renewal of the culture more broadly. There is much to be alarmed about in the culture, as this section chronicles. The breakdown of marriage and family life—with more children growing up without a married mother and father and fewer married couples having children—affects every aspect of American life.

But just as four decades of persistent activism, education, service, and prayer have brought us to a point where the tide is turning on abortion, a similar level of commitment can affect the cultural landscape as it pertains to marriage and family life. Just as progress is being made on crime and even divorce rates, we need to strive for a culture in which women and men see one another as complementary and needed by one another, made for one another and for the children whom they have participated in creating, who are completely and most naturally dependent on them.

We will need to recover a common language and moral grammar that reflects our shared tradition and experience of cherishing life, family, and community. Our responses must take into account the realities, wounds, and lessons from the cultural havoc of recent decades. Our efforts must be true to both nature and history and pursue persuasion and coalition building. We must tell the stories of what works, pointing to the people and groups who are restoring a culture of life, marriage, and religious liberty.

Democracy needs a flourishing civil society, the backbone of which is people of conscience who look out for their neighbors, who raise and support families, who take matters of human dignity either as Gospel truth or as a moral imperative to protect and uplift. The cultural indicators that follow [see weblink below] help us to take stock of our efforts in this regard—and a number of them do not give us a good report. But the indicators are grim only if we resign ourselves from our responsibilities to one another.

Eric Holder (Photo: European Parliament/Creative Commons)

Attorney General Eric Holder, the first attorney general in history to be held in contempt by the House of Representatives, surprised the political world today when he announced he would be resigning, effective on the confirmation of his successor. [NOTE: There is speculation that he chose to resign now in order to ensure that the President's choice of a successor could be assured of being approved by the Senate, which is now controlled by the President's Democratic Party but which is expected to become Republican-controlled after November's elections.]

Holder will leave a troubled legacy and many unanswered questions as John Fund and I discovered when we were researching our new book, “Obama’s Enforcer: Eric Holder’s Justice Department.” The Justice Department veterans we talked to said that Holder has politicized the Department to an unprecedented degree, which should concern everyone who cares about the rule of law.

So what are the top seven worst actions by Eric Holder?
     1. Operation Fast and Furious, probably the most reckless law enforcement operation ever carried out by the Justice Department. This gun-running scandal led directly to the death of an American border agent and many Mexican citizens. Holder was held in contempt because of his refusal to turn over information and documentation about this operation gone wrong that he basically claimed he knew nothing about.

2. Holder has waged a war on election integrity and “racialized and radicalized the [Civil Rights] Division to the point of corruption” according to one current Justice employee, embedding “politically leftist extremists in the career ranks who have an agenda that does not comport with equal protection or the rule of law; who believe that the ends justify the means; and who behave unprofessionally and unethically.”

3. Failure to conduct a real, criminal investigation of the IRS targeting of conservative organizations and to enforce the contempt citation issued by the House of Representative against Lois Lerner.

4. Reinstituting the Clinton-era model for handling terrorists that endangers the national security and safety of the American people and going after journalists in leak investigations while ignoring leaks coming out of the White House from high-level administration officials.

5. Failing to advise President Obama against taking actions that violate the Constitution and federal law, refusing to enforce or defend federal laws and trying to persuade state attorneys general to engage in the same type of behavior of refusing to defend laws passed by their state legislatures.

6. Engaging in collusive “sue and settle” lawsuits with advocacy organizations and political allies of the president in order to implement regulations and new requirements without public notice or participation in order to use taxpayer money to fund the budgets of liberal groups.

7. Treated Congress with contempt and did everything he could to evade its oversight responsibilities by misleading, misinforming and ignoring members of Congress and its committee.

There is no telling how long it will take to repair the damage that Holder has done to the Justice Department. History will not be kind to his legacy. As one former Justice Department employee told us, in his opinion, “Holder is the worst person to hold the position of attorney general since the disgraced John Mitchell, who went to jail as a result of the Watergate scandal.”

"Multiple Controversies Plagued Eric Holder Prior to Resignation" - Sharyl Attkisson/ September 25, 2014/ http://dailysignal.com/2014/09/25/multiple-controversies-plagued-eric-holder-prior-resignation/ ...Responding to news of the resignation, the Republican chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Darrell Issa, R-Calif., called Holder “the most divisive U.S. attorney general in modern history.”“Time and again, Eric Holder administered justice as the political activist he describes himself as instead of an unbiased law enforcement official,” wrote Issa in a statement. “By needlessly injecting politics into law enforcement, Attorney General Holder’s legacy has eroded more confidence in our legal system than any attorney General before him.”

"The Challenge: Living Under Imperfect Law & Leadership" - Rebecca Hagelin | Sep 11, 2014;
http://townhall.com/columnists/rebeccahagelin/2014/09/11/the-challenge-living-under-imperfect-law--leadership-n1890051/page/full

The US Constitution begins with the words, “We the people of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union…” Our founding fathers acknowledged the imperfection inherent in all societies. Their goal was not the unrealistic one of forming a perfect, or utopian union. Instead, they aspired to establish a more perfect one. In fact, they set up the Constitution with provisions for revision. They knew—perhaps even hoped—that future generations would amend the Constitution to continue making it more perfect.

The nature of our imperfect union evokes two responses. One is challenging; the other is a source of great pride and hope. The former is the thought that our nation is undeniably imperfect. Meaning our armed forces, political leaders, and adults and children alike standing with their hands over their hearts pledge their service and loyalty to something that is not only flawed (our imperfect union), but also vulnerable to further corruption, even tyranny. The founders knew that democracy and self-government were experiments, and the nature of an experiment is that it can fail. (You cannot call yourself a genuine patriot until you wrestle with this difficult truth.)

Our country was intentionally designed to leave room for improvement. Author John Ortberg wrote in his book, The Life You’ve Always Wanted, that “the possibility of transformation is the essence of hope.” And therein lies the glory of the American way: whether it is for better or worse, we live with the constant hope that comes with the freedom to transform, improve and liberate.

Though the thought of improving is pleasant to dwell on, it is much more practical to return to the question of how we are, with clear conscience, to commit ourselves to something as imperfect as a nation comprised of sinful human beings, often led by officials we didn’t even vote for.

We often take for granted that in America it is comparatively easy to be good citizens (even when the policies of those in charge might otherwise curb our enthusiasm). We have the luxury of the freedom to follow conscience, seeking the betterment of society, while still operating under the law. But in many countries throughout the world, following matters of conscience, even when seeking the good of the state, requires a form of citizenship that necessitates operating outside of the law, be it through non-violent protest or violent resistance. (If the latter thought causes you to recoil, think of the freedom-seekers in Syria, for instance. Or recall those who stood up against the Nazis in their homelands.)

Because peaceful protests and freedom of speech are rights afforded to US citizens (and written into our Bill of Rights), and because we have the privilege of participating in the frequent elections that keep alive the hope of positive transformation, the perceived need to participate in violent resistance against the governing authorities has been largely absent in our country since our Civil War.

The Hope: Sanctified Citizens

In a sermon entitled Why are Christians Called to Be Good Citizens?, Pastor Robert Sturdy of St. Andrew’s church in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina tackled both the difficult and practical questions about what it means to be a good citizen in any society.

One of the examples he used was that of Samuel Rutherford, a Scottish minister who published the book, Lex, Rex: The Law of the King, which called for "the state" to leave "the church" alone. The angry King Charles II declared Rutherford’s work treasonous and had it burned in the public square. Knowing Rutherford himself was likely the next in line to be burned in the square, his friends begged him to flee the country. But Rutherford refused, believing it was his duty to stay in Scotland to seek the good of his state and king, even though both had turned against him. As an individual courageously challenging the corruption he saw in the government, Rutherford was able to stay confidentially committed to his imperfect homeland for one reason: he believed in the final sovereignty of God.

Another of Sturdy’s examples was that of influential Christian leaders calling upon governments to take up arms against Nazi Germany. One of them, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, wrote (from a Nazi prison) in his book, Ethics, that “Through the armies of the allied nations, God was at work.” The men who fought bravely, fulfilling their civic duties as citizens of the allied nations, were also participating in God’s plan to correct a government that had ceased to serve His purposes.

The most powerful example in history of a good citizen was Jesus Christ. Because he fully understood God’s will, he was able to discern perfectly when he should submit to human government and when he should challenge it. In fact, Jesus was known for challenging the religious authorities of his day. Yet, knowing full well he was on his way to the cross when he was brought before Pontius Pilate, Jesus looked at him and said, “You would have no power over me at all unless it were given to you from above” (John 19:1). And as he willingly submitted to that imperfect government, he fulfilled the prophecy of God and, through his death, offered salvation to all mankind.

The key to not only good, but wise and godly citizenship, lies in the ability to discern what God’s will is. Romans 12:2 says, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

Our founding fathers understood that liberalization would be a process, so as they composed our Constitution, they made room for transformation. They made room for the hope that freedom would increase. In the same way, the Christian concept of sanctification—the ability to understand, desire and live by God’s will—is a process. And when we make room for God in our lives, He increases our freedom, transforming us over time into better citizens of both our earthly and heavenly homelands.

As Sturdy said, “There is something wrong with your Christianity if in watching Jesus give his life away for the city of God you don’t aspire to do it somehow. In some small way give your life away for the people whom God has placed you with. There’s something wrong with your Christianity, the Gospel has not sunk deeply enough, if you are not aspiring to demonstrate the work of Jesus Christ in your body, in the city God has placed you in, in this state and in this nation.”

"Congressman Tells Pro-Life Conference: I Was Almost a Victim of Abortion" - by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com |http://www.lifenews.com/2014/09/26/congressman-tells-pro-life-conference-i-was-almost-a-victim-of-abortion/

Congressman Marlin Stutzman, an Indiana Republican, has been one of the pro-life stalwarts in the House of Representatives and he shared a powerful story at the Values Voters Summit on Friday. “Let this generation be the one to stop abortion in America!” he told the crowd — and then he launched into is own personal story.

Here is what happened to him in his own words: On a cold December night in 1975, a 17-year-old girl sobbed on the bedroom floor of a neighbor’s house. Her own home had just burned to the ground, destroying everything she had. But that wasn’t the only weight she carried that night. She had just discovered that she was a few weeks pregnant with her first child. In the dark, alone and terrified, she decided to find a way to Kalamazoo, Mich., 40 miles away, to “take care of her situation.

marlinstutzman
That young girl was my mother, and if she had gone to Kalamazoo that night, you wouldn’t be reading this today. I would have been aborted.

Recently, after speaking on the House floor about the horrors of Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s abortion clinic in Philadelphia, I began wondering if my mother had ever thought about ending her unplanned pregnancy. My parents never gave any indication that it was ever a consideration, but was it?

I gave her a call. When she answered, I talked to her about my speech on the House floor and then asked gently, “Mom, did you ever think about .” There was a tense pause, and then, through tears she said, “Marlin, I’m so sorry!” As we cried together, I was no longer a congressman, but a son understanding for the first time the heartache and struggles my mom had gone through before I was born. As we talked about her fear of driving 40 miles alone, I had to think, “What if a ‘Gosnell‘ clinic was only four miles away instead of 40?”

She asked if I could forgive her. I answered, “Yes, with all my heart.” I said that I couldn’t imagine how scared she must have been, and how thankful I was for her and Dad’s strength to do the right thing and protect my life. It could have ended so differently. At home with my wife and two children that night, my heart ached at the thought that all of this might never have been.

For 40 years, our society has been unwilling to come to grips with the grim truth about abortion. We’ve raced down a dead-end street, willfully blind to the facts, only to find ourselves at 3801 Lancaster St. — Kermit Gosnell’s clinic in West Philadelphia. There, behind brick walls, he killed hundreds of babies by snipping their spinal cords just moments after delivery.

After hiding behind euphemisms like “choice” for so long, is it any wonder that Dr. Gosnell and his staff hid behind the euphemism of “snipping” to describe severing infants’ necks with scissors? After decades of claiming that the unborn child is just a “blob of tissue,” why should we be horrified to see freezers, trash bags and cat food tins stuffed with such blobs? Why should the White House find Dr. Gosnell’s actions “unsettling” when, as a state senator, President Obama voted against Illinois’ Born Alive Infants Protection Act?

Our natural horror and grief are absurd unless we face the truth that abortion takes an innocent human life. There is no moral distinction between ending a child’s life five seconds after birth or five days before. Yet many of those who are repulsed by Dr. Gosnell too quickly pivot to phrases like “safe, legal and rare” as if they were legitimate arguments.

In fact, these are the abortion industry’s underlying falsehoods — lies the Gosnell case exposes.

What’s the difference between the abortion business, funded by giants like Planned Parenthood, and Dr. Gosnell’s Philadelphia house of horrors? Not much. Abortionists like him have recommended their gruesome practices as normal procedures for years. The only difference now is that their sterile terminology has been revealed in horrific pictures and eyewitness accounts for what it is: the killing of the weakest among us.

Right now, Americans ought to come together for an honest conversation about abortion. In the days and weeks ahead, let’s leave the euphemisms at the door, examine the facts and find our national conscience.

Kermit Gosnell, like every other abortionist in this country, sold lies to young women like my mother. Two years after Roe v. Wade, my young parents made the incredibly difficult decision to reject those lies and protect my life. The impactful conversation with my mom just a few weeks ago made me wonder how many more fathers, wives, business owners, doctors and public servants are missing today because of abortion?

Since 1973, more than 55 million children have been killed before birth. I was just 40 miles from being one of them."

"Western Teens Joining Isis?" - "When Materialism’s Promise Proves Empty"- By: John Stonestreet| Breakpoint.org: September 23, 2014; http://www.breakpoint.org/bpcommentaries/entry/13/26115?spMailingID=9536355&spUserID=MTMyMjM2ODE5OQS2&spJobID=381990025&spReportId=MzgxOTkwMDI1S0
daily_commentary_09_23_14

News broke recently of two beautiful teenage girls from Austria, aged 15 and 16, who became burka-wearing recruiters for the terror group known as ISIS, or the Islamic State. And their journey to radicalism is not an isolated case.In my own state of Colorado, a 19-year-old female just pled guilty to trying to join ISIS, too. And then there are the two young American men who died in Syria fighting for ISIS.

Why are young 21st-century Westerners converting to a brutal form of Islam? Why would young people, with seemingly so much to live for, leave the West for terrorism?

This question came up last month in a panel discussion with radio hosts Hugh Hewitt and Dennis Prager, as well as Stephen Meyer of the Discovery Institute and myself. We all agreed that the answer was not the radicalism of Islam, but the current emptiness of Western materialism.

The idea that matter is all that matters pervades everything young people see and hear these days. They hear it in science class, from the new Cosmos television series, and even, and as I added especially, in advertising and other media messages. Nearly every commercial message tells us that we’re born to be consumers, that stuff will make us happy and save us from our misery, and that there’s nothing beyond the immediate gratification of this world to live for.

As Dennis Prager said that night, “Secular society produces a lot of bored people . . . Secular society is a curse because ultimately life is meaningless if there’s no God.” The materialistic salvation sold to us promises to fill what Pascal called the God-shaped hole in our hearts … with stuff. But many see the meaningless of secular salvation, and they become bored; others become angry, even murderous.

Remember Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, who killed 13 people at Columbine High School? They weren’t Muslims. Then there’s T.J. Lane, a 19-year-old serving three life sentences for shooting to death three high school students in 2012. At his sentencing, in which he taunted his victims’ families with expletives, Lane opened his blue dress shirt to reveal a T-shirt on which he had scrawled the word “killer.”

We’ve always had young murderers, but the nihilism of today is different. Writing in Time several years ago, Harvard’s student body president called it the “Rude Boy” culture. The tough guy of the ‘60s and ‘70s, he observed, would say, “I’m better than you, I can beat you up”—but the tough guy today says, “I flip you off; you don’t matter and neither do I.”

And that’s a whole new level of brokenness. That’s the cultural shift toward nihilism. A few years ago, the rock band Switchfoot hit the nail on the head when they sang, “We were meant to live for so much more. But we lost ourselves.” This sort of empty pop-nihilism, to borrow a term from Baylor’s Thomas Hibbs, makes even the evil radicalism of extremist Islam look attractive to some. And parasitic ideologies like these find folks in despair easy prey.

Might it be that ISIS finds this shallow ground as fertile soil from which to harvest young souls for its deadly agenda? Decades ago, even before the Internet and social media took over so much of our lives, Aldous Huxley warned of the capacity of the media to exploit “man's almost infinite appetite for distraction.” Could it be that even ISIS looks attractive to those who, after having their fill, still feel empty inside?

Wait a minute, you say, that’s just a small minority. Not every kid flees to ISIS or thinks of murder as a way to meaning. Well, true, but how many others are living shriveled up lives of perpetual boredom? What addictions and distractions are they fleeing to in pursuit of meaning and purpose? How can Christians point our culture to the One we were made for?

/PRAYER ALERT- UKRAINE: As the Lord leads, please pray:
*For God to suppress President Putin’s ambitions to "restore" the Soviet empire.
*For the people of Ukrainen [esp. for the church 'to be THE church']  as they wait to see if the Russian troops will advance.
*About President Obama and  to use wisdom in crafting our  foreign policy, and wisdom for his advisers.
Continue to Pray for EGYPT Continue to pray for the tense situation in Egypt and especially for the Christian believers who are being targeted with violence by Muslim Brotherhood members.]

World leaders will gather for the United Nations climate summit this week after tens of thousands of protestors marched through Manhattan on Sunday urging action on climate change. Their time would have been better spent reading Steven Koonin’s Wall Street Journal piece, “Climate Science is Not Settled.”

Before you go labeling Koonin a climate denier, check out his resume. He served as the undersecretary of science for the Department of Energy during President Obama’s first term. He’s a theoretical physicist and the director of the Center for Urban Science and Progress at New York University. And his message is clear and straightforward: Yes, the climate is changing as it always has. But the science is far from settled, and there’s great uncertainty into all that goes into a changing climate. Climate models have serious limitations, and we’re nowhere near understanding variations in the climate enough to make sound policy decisions.

Yet the administration is forging ahead with regulations on conventional fuels that will drive up energy costs for American households and businesses. The bulk of the administration’s climate change plan is built around regulating carbon emissions from new and existing power plants that will drive out coal, which makes up 40 percent of America’s electricity generation. The Obama administration also has subsidized alternative energy sources and implemented a host of new energy efficiency standards for vehicles and appliances to reduce carbon emissions.

Koonin himself is supportive of some of these policies, including energy efficiency mandates and government spending on low-carbon energy sources. He calls them “no-regret” policies but acknowledges bigger climate strategies can carry immense costs. But even the no-regret policies have costs that make Americans worse off.

The result of these regulations, subsidies and mandates will be trillions of dollars lost in compliance costs and less economic growth. For instance, our federal government has thrown away tens of billions of taxpayer dollars to build politically preferred energy technologies aimed to ultimately wean us off conventional fuels. A diverse, innovative energy sector does have benefits and will provide Americans with the most reliable energy at the best cost. But that should be done through free-market competition—not the government picking winners and losers.

If that weren’t enough, government bureaucrats want to play energy guardian by telling us how much energy we can use to drive our cars, wash our clothes and microwave our leftovers. The government has put in place a host of efficiency mandates, taking choices away from individuals and businesses, with the hope of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. All of these policies and regulations are predicated on the notion that we need to do something about climate change.

Cumulatively, the result of these regulations, subsidies and mandates will be trillions of dollars lost in compliance costs and less economic growth as America depends on conventional fuels for just about every aspect of economic activity. And even if the planet were headed toward dangerous levels of warming, which it is not, these policies still would be unsound as they will cost a great deal and do little to actually mitigate global temperatures. But Koonin presents evidence and uncertainties why that’s not the case when it comes to our changing climate. And he concludes his piece with an important message about politicizing the science:

"Any serious discussion of the changing climate must begin by acknowledging the scientific certainties, but also the uncertainties, especially in projecting the future. Recognizing those limits, rather than ignoring them, will lead to a more sober and ultimately more productive discussion of climate change and climate policies. To do so otherwise is a great disservice to climate science itself."

And ignoring climate realities to implement economy-crushing regulations is a great disservice to both the economy and public policy.
